I did not get to attend Gen Con this year. I did get to set aside some time to meet up with Jon to record an episode at Gen Con. The studio ended up being a hotel room at Embassy Suites. As I walked from the parking to the hotel, I knew I was not at a business convention. Gamers Galore. I did not stand out with my black T-Shirt and backpack. The local theater had a special screening of Serenity.
At the hotel room, Jon and I placed a table at the middle of the room. I placed my snowball mic on the table. The topic of the show was Gen Con. Jon's buddies Jason and Steve sat down to discuss this year's Con. Day 3 of the Con, and they still had plenty of energy. During their discussion I wished I had gone to Gen Con this year. After going over Gen Con iPhone application I saw some events that would have been fun to check out.
Before I left the hotel room I recorded Jon's outro music. I have been wanting to mix in some music to the end credits of the podcast. Thx Jon.
